Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Policy

1. Statement of Commitment

As a sole–director leadership coaching business, I am committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of my work. While I currently have no employees, I recognise the importance of creating an inclusive environment for clients, suppliers, collaborators, and anyone I interact with professionally.

I believe that all individuals deserve to be treated with dignity and respect and that diversity strengthens organisations and enriches learning experiences.

 2. Principles

I operate according to the following principles:

 Diversity

I value and welcome differences in:

  • race and ethnicity

  • gender identity and expression

  • sexual orientation

  • age

  • disability and neurodiversity

  • religion and belief

  • socioeconomic background

  • culture, nationality, and language

  • family status and caring responsibilities

Equity

I strive to ensure fair and equal access to my services by:

  • adapting coaching approaches to meet individual needs

  • being aware of barriers people may face

  • offering reasonable adjustments to ensure accessibility

  • reviewing my practices to ensure they remain fair and inclusive

Inclusion

I aim to create an environment where all participants feel safe, heard, respected, and able to contribute fully. This includes:

  • fostering psychological safety during coaching sessions

  • encouraging open, respectful dialogue

  • challenging discriminatory behaviour or language when necessary

3. Zero-Tolerance Approach to Discrimination

I do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, bullying, or victimisation on any grounds.

I comply with relevant UK Equality legislation, including the Equality Act 2010.

4. Accessibility and Reasonable Adjustments

I commit to making reasonable efforts to ensure accessibility, for example:

  • offering virtual sessions

  • adjusting communication styles or pace

  • providing materials in alternative formats upon request

5. Continuous Learning and Reflection

As a coach, I recognise the need for ongoing reflection on my own biases and behaviours.

I commit to:

  • maintaining awareness of inclusive practices

  • reviewing this policy annually to ensure alignment with current best practice

6. Working with Clients, Partners, and Suppliers

I expect clients, collaborators, and suppliers I work with to demonstrate respect for DEI principles.

When engaging in group facilitation or organisational work, I encourage inclusive practices within those environments.

7. Reporting Concerns

Any individual working with me who experiences or witnesses behaviour that violates these principles is encouraged to raise it. Concerns will be taken seriously, addressed sensitively, and handled in line with my professional ethical standards.

8. Statement of Transparency

Although I currently have no employees, I remain committed to modelling inclusive behaviour and contributing positively to diversity, equity, and inclusion through my work with clients.
